|Description: ||The mission of HOBY is to seek out, recognize and develop leadership potential commencing with HS sophomores. Selected 10th†graders will attend an expense paid, highly interactive long weekend seminar at Wake Forest University June 9-11, 2017.†|
Students can expect to:
- Learn†how to think, rather than†what to think.
- Enhance leadership skills
- Understand volunteerism, democracy and community service
- Design their own community service plan
- List HOBY on college an scholarship applications
One 10th†grader from Ashe County High School will be selected to attend. There is a $195.00 registration fee, which will be taken care of by Ashe County High School. Students will be responsible for transportation to and from the program site.
Answer both the following questions with a typed response and attach the document to email to Annette Bednosky firstname.lastname@example.org or give her a paper copy. Applications are due March 10th. BE SURE TO PUT YOUR NAME ON YOUR PAPER!
